Norton Start up Problem?

Hi, at start up i receive a window saying " Ccap has caused an error in ASSETHLP.DLL" i have windows ME. This causes my norton internet security to close and when i try to open it , it says "Nmain has caused an error in %26lt;unknown%26gt; ". Normally I would just call them or have their free live support but when trying to open those pages and certain other ones in IE it says Cannot Find Page (This Page Cannot be displayed).

Certain websites in IE won't work. and NOTHING in firefox will work. The only thing i've recently done with my computer is change the startup options (because i was having a problem running defrag). All the solutions to my problem found on google begin by opening Noton Internet Security (which i am unable to do)

after the first two check marks it stops and says to press continue to continue download and it goes straight to Cannot Find Page

Check the Symantex Norton support website, they often have a tool to completely remove Norton software before reinstalling it.

Try to reinstall Norton, but before install it again try to clean any trace of Norton on your computer. Try with RegClean tool like.

Maybe it is the best idea to change operating system. Windows ME is one of the worst operating system that ever come from Redmond.
bugs, delete the norton, use avast i'm sorry if im satisfy your question but i had problem with norton, it just like and ordinary antivirus that take over your internet system like karpersky, and let the virus through and then scan but it too late. i hate norton.. i'm saying this because it coz me to format my computer and can't protect my computer.
